My stay at The Vanderbilt was a mix of good moments and frustrating issues. I loved the level of personalized service and certainly enjoyed the location, which made exploring Newport incredibly easy. However, the room was smaller than expected with an outdated bathroom that didn't meet my needs, especially given the high price point.

The room felt cramped and dark, and the bathroom could only accommodate one person at a time. I was disappointed with the limited view as well.

I just had a wonderful romantic weekend at The Vanderbilt in Newport. The amenities and service truly impressed me, especially the friendly staff who were attentive and caring. My only quibble would be the need for some updates to certain furnishings throughout the hotel, as they felt somewhat dated. Overall, my stay was marked by comfort and great food experiences.

Rooms

The spaciousness of my room was fantastic, and I loved the comfortable bed with high-quality bedding. However, I did notice that the rugs and furniture could use a little modernization to match the historic charm.

I had a lovely stay at The Vanderbilt, although the prices felt a bit steep for some aspects. The dining experiences were good, especially breakfast on the patio, and the staff were extremely welcoming. However, the bathroom situation in my room was inconvenient due to limited space and poor ventilation.

Rooms

My room was comfortable, located on the third floor, with lovely details like robes and a coffee maker. The view was awesome, but the bathroom was small and had no window, which made it feel a bit cramped.
Service

Dining at the hotel was a highlight. Breakfast was delicious, especially the egg quesadilla with buffalo chili. However, I found the wine pours to be on the smaller side during dinner. The overall dining experience was excellent though.

My stay at The Vanderbilt was truly nice, thanks to the charming atmosphere and attentive staff. I loved how cozy the public rooms felt and appreciated the comfort of my suite. However, there were a couple of hiccups with service that detracted from the experience. Overall, the combination of luxurious amenities and a fantastic location in Newport made it a worthwhile trip.

Rooms

My suite was clean, quiet, and comfortable, but the lack of shelving in the bathroom made it difficult to organize toiletries. The lighting by the bedside also felt a bit dim for reading at night.
Service

The staff was incredibly proactive and accommodating, often going out of their way to assist. I did have one unpleasant experience with a breakfast waitress, but overall, the service was warm and inviting.

My stay at The Vanderbilt was largely good, with really good staff and well-maintained facilities adding to the experience. The location is perfect for exploring Newport, though dining service at times left something to be desired. Overall, the comfort of my accommodations and the hotel's historic charm definitely made up for a few minor hiccups.

Rooms

I was pleased with the size and comfort of my room, which felt both spacious and inviting. The decor was elegant, contributing to a charming atmosphere, but I found the lighting somewhat dim for reading at night.
Service
8.0
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to assist with dinner reservations and tours. However, I did experience a lapse in service during one of my dining experiences due to a large private event.
Location

The hotel is situated within walking distance of major attractions, shops, and dining. With just a short stroll, I could easily access the vibrant Wharf area, making navigation simple and convenient.
Dining

The restaurant offered excellent meals, particularly enjoyed breakfast on the patio; however, one dinner lacked the ambiance I'd hoped for, having been seated in a less inviting conservatory due to an external function.
Facilities

I appreciated the pristine condition of both the indoor and outdoor pools, as well as the beautiful garden area. They provided a relaxing atmosphere to unwind during my stay.
